A Great First Week

Hello All,

This was a very encouraging first week of the school year. It is hard to believe how it has come and passed so fast.  We are so happy to have our new students: Arianna, Mariyon, Ty'Jawon, Madison, and Aubrei. We hope to have so much fun together.

MAP Testing-MAP testing begins on Monday.  We are scheduled to test Mondays and Wednesdays. Please make sure students are prepared for testing.  This would include a good night's sleep, and a good breakfast.

Recess- We will be going outside for recess everyday (when weather permits).  It is vital for student to have opportunities to be physically active and socialize with their classmates and peers.  Please dress your child appropriately.

Cold- The school is still adjusting to the changes in the weather.  The building has been on the cool side this week.  Please bring your child to school with a sweater (see uniform policy) if they tend to be chilly.

Be on time!  Every minute counts here at UPA.  Please keep in mind that if your child arrives late, is out for a day, or leaves early, they are missing very valuable learning time at school.

Uniform- It is key that students are in complete uniform upon entering the school for the day.  The uniform policy covers shoes and belts.  Shoes and belts are to be ALL black or brown.  Please follow uniform policy in attempts to continue our great school culture.

Summer Ready Club Books- Please bring back your Summer Reading Club Books as soon as possible.  They will be collected next week, on Wednesday.
